Description
Prof Paul Batalden has been noted for his immense contribution to healthcare improvement. One  of his notable mantras is that “every one in healthcare has  two jobs- firstly to do their job and secondly, to find ways of improving it. The publication of the recent 10 year Plan, makes it imperative that front line staff are engaged in a concerted effort at embedding health care improvement as key prong of improving care as every day practice.
There are several sources to support health care staff  to engage with, deepen their knowledge base and practical expertise on health care improvement. The key premise here is that healthcare improvement action and effort should be informed by readily accessible  data and evidence informed agendas. Moreover such actions should always by collaborative efforts that has organisational championing and cross or inter-organisational support.
Consequentially, this e-book will begin with a discourse  in Part A on:
- The use of data and evidence informed approaches at improving care.
- Why Health care improvement should start as a collaborative effort,
- Acting upon and help spread the adoption of GIRFT guidelines in everyday practic
- Learning about the work of NIHR ARCHS
